NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Carthage's
Craig Hundley and Augustana's
Carson Eipers were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Hundley, a sophomore from Grayslake, Illinois and Grayslake Central High School, won the indoor mile at the GVSU Tune-Up on Friday, clocking a time of 4:10.59. This time broke a 13-year program record by nearly four seconds. Hundley's time, converted to 4:13.80 when factoring in the oversize track conversion, currently ranks second in the CCIW and 32nd on the NCAA Division III national list.
Eipers, a junior from Naperville, Illinois, won the weight throw at the Sol Butler Classic at Dubuque on Friday. He finished with a personal record of 19.32 meters, which broke his own program record. Eipers has won the weight throw at every event he's competed at this so far this season. Additionally, his mark ranks second in the CCIW and third in Division III.
