NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Julia Babinec and Augustana's Kat Krebasch were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Babinec, a senior from Zeeland, Michigan and Zeeland High School, won her fourth CCIW Women's Track Athlete of the Week honor this season as she ran a lifetime best in the 60-meter hurdles (8.62) at the F. Lee Slick Invitational on Saturday. Her time was just .07 seconds way from the program record set by Madison Renfro (8.55) in 2016. Babinec is currently ranked second in NCAA Division III and first in the CCIW in the 60-meter hurdles.

Krebasch, a senior from Wood Dale, Illinois, won her second CCIW Women's Field Athlete of the Week award as she placed second in the pole vault at the University of Illinois' Illini Classic on Friday. Competing against Division I competition, Krebasch finished with a mark of 3.82 meters, which is tied for fourth in Division III and first in the CCIW.
