NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Ramon Vilarroig won his second College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season on Wednesday.

Vilarroig, a sophomore from Castellon, Spain, went 4-0 in the Cardinals' two CCIW wins over Elmhurat and Augustana last week. He teamed with Guillermo Gonzalez at No. 1 double and beat Elmhurst's Ben Cavka and Justin Penados (8-2) and Augustana's Arthur Hermange and Leonardo Panosso (8-5). Vilarroig was 2-0 at No. 1 singles with wins over Elmhurst's Tomas Bella (6-1, 6-0) and Hermange (6-1, 6-3). North Central beat Elmhurst and Augustana 9-0 on Friday and Sunday respectively.
