Lindsey Novak and Carroll's
Emily Uitenbroek were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Novak, a junior from Lombard, Illinois and Glenbard East High School, won two individual events and was part of the winning 4x100-meter relay at Wheaton's Don Church Twilight over the weekend. She won the 400-meter dash with a personal best time of 57.99, which ranks 10th on the program's all-time list. Her time also currently ranks first in the CCIW. Novak also ran a personal best time of 24.72 in the 200-meter dash, which ranks second all-time in program history. This time is also ranked first in the CCIW and 12th on the NCAA Division III national list. Novak and the 4x100-meter relay team won with a time of 47.59, which ranks fourth in program history and is currently first in the CCIW and seventh in Division III.
Uitenbroek, a senior from Kaukauna, Wisconsin and Kaukauna High School, placed fifth in the hammer at the University of Illinois Illini Invitational on Friday. Competing against a Division I field, Uitenbroek finished with a mark of 57.54 meters, which now ranks fourth in Division III and improved upon her top CCIW distance.
