NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Morgan Red was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Red, a senior from Joliet, Illinois and Joliet West High School, went 5-0 in the Cardinals' three matches last week. Red and Javier Suarez went 3-0 at No. 3 doubles. The duo beat Millikin's Cory Erickson and James Broach (8-1), Illinois Wesleyan's Justin Piotrowski and Zeke Cross (8-0) and Principia's Elliott Mathiesen and Everett Poznick (8-0). He then went 2-0 in singles play, beating Cross (6-0, 6-0) at No. 6 and Mathiesen (6-0, 6-0) at No. 5. North Central beat Millikin (7-2) on April 1, and Illinois Wesleyan (9-0) and Principia (8-1) on April 2.
