NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wheaton's Joey Geisz was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Student-Athletes of the Week on Wednesday.

Geisz, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cheyenne Mountain High School, went 4-0 for the Thunder last week. He teamed with Jacob Williams at No. 2 doubles to beat Carthage's Cooper Ferruzzi and Andre Antreassian (8-1) on April 29, followed by a win at No. 1 doubles over Carroll's Luke Barter and Ian Hofland (8-2) on April 30. Geisz was also 2-0 in singles play, beating Carthage's Nick Marino at the No. 6 spot (6-0, 6-1), and Carroll's Ian Hofland at the No. 3 spot (6-0, 6-0).
