NAPERVILLE – North Central senior Jamauri Spivery has been voted College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Indoor Track Student-Athlete of the Week and Carthage junior Joseph White has earned his third consecutive Field selection, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Spivery sprinted to a 60-meter dash win in 6.93 seconds at the Cardinal Opener in Naperville. His performance was the second-fastest time in the league and tied for the 26th-fastest Division III effort during the 2022-23 indoor season.
White continued his early-season success, breaking the CCIW indoor record in the shot put with a throw of 17.51 meters to win Saturday’s Firebird First Invitational. The Kenosha, Wis. native also won the weight throw on Saturday with a final performance of 19.92 meters. White, who is the only CCIW Indoor Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week this season, owns the top Division III performance in both events this season.
