NAPERVILLE – For the third time this season, the North Central duo of Lindsey Novak and Alex Draves and Elmhurst’s Ava David have been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week, according to a Wednesday afternoon announcement from the conference office.
 
David swept the 60 meters and 200 meters last Friday at the F. Lee Slick Invitational in Naperville. She matched a personal season best of 7.70 seconds in the 60, then registered her fastest time of the winter in the 200 at 25.29 seconds. Both marks rank 13th on the national Division III list this season.
 
Novak also picked up a win at the F. Lee Slick Invitational, finishing the 400 meters in 57.11 seconds. The performance marked NCC’s second-fastest on a flat track in program history.
 
For the fourth time this season, Draves set a new North Central record with a personal-best mark of 18.34 meters in the weight throw. The most recent performance tops the CCIW leaderboard this season and ranks third nationally.
