NAPERVILLE – North Central’s Max Svienty and Wheaton’s Isaiah Clausen are College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Outdoor Track & Field, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Svienty, now a two-time outdoor winner from the league in 2023, ran the league’s fastest 5,000-meter time last Friday at the UW-Platteville Invitational. He placed third in the race with a career-best 13:59.79.
At last weekend’s Gibson Invitational hosted by Indiana State, Clausen finished fourth out of a field of 29 decathletes composed primarily of Division I and Division II participants. His overall score of 6700 was a 98-point career best, and he recorded personal bests in the shot put, discus, and pole vault.
