NAPERVILLE – Twelve student-athletes were recognized on the All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Tennis Team, released Tuesday afternoon by the league office. Augustana sophomore Arthur Hermange was voted Student-Athlete of the Year.
Additionally, Carthage freshman Francisco Silveira was named CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year and 26th-year Firebirds’ head coach Brady Lindsley was selected CCIW Coach of the Year for the 10th time.
Hermange, Augustana’s ninth CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year since 1981, posted a 5-1 singles record from the top spot of the Augustana lineup against conference opponents. The Saclay, France native was also 3-3 in the league alongside Gabo Luna at #1 doubles.
For the full season, Hermanage was 9-4 at #1 singles.
Silveira emerged as one of the Firebirds’ top performers, going a perfect 6-0 in the league at #2 singles. The freshman from Niterói, Brazil was also unblemished in CCIW doubles competition, putting up a 7-0 mark at the second slot in the lineup with Cooper Feruzzi.
Lindsley led the Firebirds to a 6-1 dual record against CCIW opponents, tied with North Central for the league’s best regular-season mark. Carthage was 15-5 overall in dual contests. Tuesday’s announcement marked Lindsley’s first CCIW Coach of the Year award since 2015.
The First Team featured repeat selections for Hermanage, Carthage’s Yanozie Amadike and Ramon Vilarroig Martinez and Javier Suarez Balsera of North Central. Silveira and Millikin’s Hasting Bjorkman were first-time choices.
Carthage’s Myles Krzewinski was a repeat pick on the Second Team.

At the conclusion of every sports season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree.
