NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) selected its Men’s Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week on Wednesday for competitions scheduled between Monday, Dec. 2 and Sunday, Dec. 8.
Track: Evan Lowder, Illinois Wesleyan, Junior (Bloomington, Ill.)
Lowder was the winner in the 300 meters last Saturday at IWU’s Titan First Chance in 34.60 seconds. The performance was a personal best, broke his own IWU record and was the eighth-fastest time in Division III history.
Lowder also anchored the Titans’ winning 4x400 meter relay last Saturday.
Field: Ethan Godsey, Illinois Wesleyan, Sophomore (Manteno, Ill.)
Godsey gave the hosts another event win last Saturday at the Titan First Chance, claiming victory in the triple jump at 14.30 meters. It’s the league’s top mark through the first weekend of the indoor season and the third-best jump nationwide.
