NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week are Nathan Raatz of Carroll and Adam Beasley of Illinois Wesleyan, the league office announced Wednesday.
Track: Nathan Raatz, Carroll
The graduate student from Kaukauna, Wis. ran the third-fastest 800 meters time in the CCIW this season with a mark of 1:54.9 at the Titan Challenge last Saturday in Oshkosh, Wis. His performance was a new personal best.
Field: Adam Beasley, Illinois Wesleyan
Beasley, a freshman, cracked this season’s national top 10 on the Division III high jump list by clearing 2.04 meters at the IWU’s Friday Night Tri in Bloomington. The jump was the best in the CCIW this season and fourth-best in Illinois Wesleyan history.
