NAPERVILLE – Elmhurst’s Nakala Nadeau (track) and Carthage’s Aubrey Schoeneman (field) were recognized as Student-Athletes of the Week in women’s indoor track & field by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Wednesday afternoon.

Nadeau collected her second weekly CCIW honor of the indoor season and the third indoor award of her EU career after winning the 60 meter hurdles at North Central’s F. Lee Slick Invitational last Friday. Her winning time of 8.76 seconds was a personal season best.
Field: Aubrey Schoeneman, Carthage
Competing in the Parkside Classic last weekend in Kenosha, Schoeneman logged career bests in both the shot put and weight throw. She placed first in the shot put with a throw of 14.53 meters – tops in the league and third-best in Division III this season – and was the runner-up in the weight throw at 16.67 meters.
