NAPERVILLE – College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athletes of the Week in men’s outdoor track & field on Wednesday are Illinois Wesleyan’s Evan Lowder and Millikin’s Kyle Hensley, according to an announcement from the league office.
Track: Evan Lowder, Illinois Wesleyan
Lowder, a sophomore from Bloomington, Ill., ran the 400 meters in a winning time of 47.14 seconds at Wabash’s Huntsman Family Invitational last Saturday in Crawfordsville, Ind. Lowder, who owns the third-fastest time in the event in Division III this season, won the race by more than two seconds.
Field: Kyle Hensley, Millikin
With a final mark of 5.03 meters, Hensley was the winner in the pole vault at the Illinois College True Blue Invitational last Saturday in Jacksonville, Ill. The Mount Zion, Ill. native, who won the indoor national title last month, owns the top outdoor performance in Division III thus far in 2024.
