NAPERVILLE – North Central’s Lindsey Novak and Carthage’s Aubrey Schoeneman were voted College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Track: Lindsey Novak, North Central
In a field of 44 that included competitors from NCAA Division I, Division II and NAIA, Novak won the 400 meters at the Chicagoland Invitational hosted by Elmhurst last weekend. Her winning time of 57.87 seconds was a season best and fastest in the CCIW this spring.
Field: Aubrey Schoeneman, Carthage
Schoeneman broke a Carthage record in the shot put with a winning mark of 15.11 meters at the Wisconsin Private College Championships in Waukesha last Saturday. The performance, a career best and tops in Division III this season, ranks 19th on the all-time Division list.
