NAPERVILLE – North Central graduate student Marcedes Jackson and Illinois Wesleyan freshman Imani Ogunribido have earned College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athlete of the Week selections, according to a Wednesday afternoon release from the league office.
Track: Marcedes Jackson, North Central
Jackson broke a North Central record and ran the 21st-fastest time in the 100 meters in Division III history – 11.80 seconds – to win the event at the Wheaton Invitational last Saturday. The Bellwood, Ill. native also ran a new personal-best time of 25.43 seconds in the 200 meters.
Field: Imani Ogunribido, Illinois Wesleyan
Ogunribido delivered the CCIW’s top 2024 performance in the triple jump last Saturday at the Greenville Select, winning the event with a leap of 12.23 meters. The effort ranked second in Illinois Wesleyan history and was the fourth-best mark in Division III in 2024.
