SPARTANBURG, S.C. --- Illinois Wesleyan University senior Adriana Crabtree capped her cross country career off with an outstanding performance at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships Saturday, Nov. 22, at Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. The senior placed 17th in the field of 290 harriers, marking the highest finish in program history en route to First Team All-America honors.

On a steamy day in South Carolina, Crabtree made history as the first Titan to race in three consecutive NCAA Championships and cemented her legacy as one of the best to don the Green and White. She clocked a 3:13.2 opening split to sit 15th with five kilometers to go, but dropped to 32nd ahead of the final stretch. The senior put together an incredible final kick that catapulted her 15 spots up the leaderboard as she crossed the finish line in 21:29.5 to claim 17th-place.

Crabtree's performance is the best by a Titan in program history and is the highest finish since Erin McCarey took 21st in 2015. Overall, Crabtree is the fourth Titan cross country runner, the third on the women's side, to secure All-America status in program history.

Middlebury's Audrey Maclean snagged the individual title with a time of 20:16.8, while NYU took home the team title with 79 points.
