ATLANTA – Illinois Wesleyan senior Lauren Huber was named a NCAA Division III Coaches’ All-American by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) on Wednesday.
Huber, a senior that was a unanimous All-CCIW First Team pick last month and named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 8 Team on Tuesday, was one of 12 Division III players to receive Wednesday’s honor. Coaches’ All-America team are selected by the WBCA NCAA Division III Awards Committee from coaches and student-athletes who are nominated by WBCA member coaches.
In addition to Huber’s selection, IWU head coach Mia Smith was named one of 12 finalists for the WBCA Division III Coach of the Year award.
Carroll’s Natalie Gricius and Olivia Rangel were among 40 student-athletes to receive All-America honorable mention honors from the WBCA.
Huber and Rangel earned earlier recognition from the WBCA on Monday as members of the 2025 Women's Collegiate All-Star Team. The 2025 Women's Collegiate All-Star Game presented by the WBCA will be played at 1 p.m. ET, Saturday, March 22, preceding the NCAA Division III women's basketball national championship game in the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.
