NAPERVILLE – Millikin sophomore Matthew Kordesh posted a perfect 6-0 record on spring break last week to secure Student-Athlete of the Week honors in men’s tennis from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Tuesday.
The Fishers, Ind. native was 3-0 from #4 singles in duals against Stevenson, Wooster and Asbury in Hilton Head, S.C. Kordesh was the only MU player to win a singles bout in the match with Asbury. Kordesh was 3-0 in doubles play with Clayton Maack at #2 doubles.
