Illinois Wesleyan Jumps to No. 13 in D3hoops.com Top 25

NAPERVILLE — Illinois Wesleyan continued its climb in the national rankings this week, moving up to No. 13 in the latest D3hoops.com Top 25 poll following another strong showing in conference play.

The Titans advanced two spots from last week’s No. 15 position after improving to 13–3 overall and moving into a share of first place in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) standings.

The jump in the poll followed an 80–61 road victory at Wheaton last Saturday. Sophomore Noah Cleveland recorded his 11th double-double of the season with 30 points and 13 rebounds, while junior Casen Lawrence added 22 points, connecting on six three-pointers. Together, the pair accounted for 52 of Illinois Wesleyan’s 80 points as the Titans shot 46.9 percent from the field and 47.8 percent from three-point range.

At the top of the national poll, the top five remained unchanged. Trinity (Conn.) retained the No. 1 position at 16–0 with all 25 first-place votes, followed by Chicago at No. 2, Emory at No. 3, Mount Union at No. 4, and Randolph-Macon at No. 5.
