BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships began Friday at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University. Following six scored events, Augustana holds the first-day lead with 42.33 points,
The Vikings are followed by defending champion Elmhurst with 41 points and North Central with 36.33 points. Wheaton is fourth with 36 points, while Carthage sits fifth with 31 points. Illinois Wesleyan (17), Millikin (15.33) and Carroll (15) round out the standings after one day.
Wheaton’s Sally Elsen won the pentathlon title with 3,048 points. Elsen posted the top marks in the shot put (9.37m) and long jump (5.14m) to secure the overall win. Elmhurst’s Brooke Greaves claimed event victories in the 60-meter hurdles (8.92) and high jump (1.52m), while Augustana’s Khaliah Knox won the 800-meter run (2:40.19).
On the track, Wheaton’s Clodagh O’Bryant won the 5,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 18:26.17. Illinois Wesleyan’s distance medley relay team of Mackenzie Huber, Jordynn Griffin, Peyton Stinger and Adriana Crabtree earned 10 points by winning in 12:18.77.
In the field event finals, North Central’s Gwen Berenyi won the pole vault by clearing 3.70 meters. Elmhurst’s Chloe Selmer captured the long jump title with a mark of 5.88 meters and Carthage’s Madison Payne won the weight throw at 16.23 meters.
The championships conclude Saturday with 11 events remaining. Women's events begin at noon.
