NAPERVILLE –- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has named Illinois Wesleyan senior Adriana Crabtree and Augustana senior Charlotte Frere the Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week 
 
Crabtree recorded the top steeplechase time in the conference and the fourth-fastest mark in NCAA Division III this season at the Bryan Clay Invitational, while Frere posted a lifetime best in the discus that leads Division III and ranks second in division history at the Augustana Meet of Champions.

Crabtree competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., finishing 40th in a field of 114 athletes representing NCAA programs from all divisions as well as national teams. The Normal, Ill. native turned in a season-best time of 10:33.93, missing her own Illinois Wesleyan program record by less than a second. Her mark currently leads the CCIW and ranks fourth in Division III.
 
Field: Charlotte Frere, Augustana
Frere also received national recognition this week, earning USTFCCCA Division III National Athlete of the Week honors in addition to the conference award. At the Augustana Meet of Champions, the Preemption, Ill. native improved her national-leading mark in the discus with a lifetime-best throw of 53.92 meters. The distance ranks second in NCAA Division III history. She also recorded a personal-best mark of 48.01 meters in the hammer throw, moving into second place on Augustana’s all-time list.
