Carthage Sweeps CCIW Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

NAPERVILLE — Carthage College’s Dylan Parker and Camron Foster have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week.
 
Track: Dylan Parker, Carthage
Parker was selected as the track honoree after competing in the 400-meter dash at the Drake Relays. The junior from Skokie, Ill. won his heat with a personal-best time of 47.53 seconds, setting a Carthage school record.
 
His time ranks second in the CCIW this season, .02 seconds off the conference lead, and is 22nd nationally in NCAA Division III. Parker has now broken the Carthage outdoor 400-meter record in consecutive weeks.
 
Field: Camron Foster, Field
Foster earned field honors after winning the high jump at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative. The freshman from Skokie, Ill. cleared a personal-best 2.03 meters, a mark that is tied for fourth in Carthage program history.
 
The jump moved Foster into a tie for the CCIW lead and placed him among the top 20 performers in Division III this season. He is also part of a Carthage high jump group that currently includes three of the top five marks in the conference.
