NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Pablo Castro of Illinois Wesleyan University earned the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Golf Player of the Week award of 2026 after firing a 9-under-par 207 (70-70-67) at the Transylvania Fall Invitational. Castro earned medalist honors against a high-caliber field at the University Club of Kentucky.
The individual victory was the third of Castro’s Titan career and helped fourth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan to a third-place team finish of 847 (-18) in a 17-team field, topped only by two other ranked opponents in Mary Hardin-Baylor and Trinity (Texas).
Castro and Illinois Wesleyan return to action on Sept. 13-14 at the Wrigglesworth Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at the Eau Claire Country Club.
