NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Carthage College and the Tarble Center Track will host the 2022 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s & Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships February 25-26.

Spectators will not be permitted for this year's Indoor Track & Field Championship, but Carthage will provide coverage via its Live Video and Live Results links. Additionally, Northwest Designs has provided an online apparel store for this year's championship.

On Friday, running events begin at 11 a.m. with the men's heptathlon 55-meter dash, while the first men's field event will be the men's long jump at 1 p.m. The first women's event will take place at 11:15 a.m. with the women's pentathlon 55-meter hurdles, while the first women's field event will be the women's pole vault at 12:30 p.m.
 
On Saturday, running events begin at 10:45 a.m. with the 55-meter hurdles prelims. The women's high jump begins at 12 p.m., while the first men's field event is the triple jump, also at Noon. Visit the championship website for a link to the full schedule of events.

CCIW Coaches' Poll: North Central was picked to win its 20th CCIW men's indoor title according to the results of the CCIW Men's Championship Coaches' Poll announced last week. Additionally, the Cardinals were predicted to win their third-straight women's indoor title based on the results of the CCIW Women's Championship Coaches' Poll, also announced last week.

2020 Men's Championship: North Central won its 19th CCIW indoor title in program history during the last held CCIW Men's Indoor Championship. It was the Cardinals' fourth-straight title and eighth under head coach Frank Gramarosso. North Central won with a team score of 204, followed by Millikin (108), Wheaton (101), Augustana (73.5), Carthage (72), Carroll (52), Illinois Wesleyan (27), North Park (18) and Elmhurst (7.5).

2020 Women's Championship: North Central claimed its second-straight CCIW indoor title during the last held CCIW Women's Indoor Championship. It was the seventh title in program history as all have come under the direction of head coach Kari Kluckhohn. The Cardinals won with a team score of 152, followed by Illinois Wesleyan (101), Carthage (80.5), Wheaton (77.5), Augustana (75), Carroll (65), Millikin (62), Elmhurst (44) and North Park (6).

NCAA Championships: The 2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place March 11-12 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. CCIW teams have won a combined seven indoor national titles including six by the North Central men (1989, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2017, 2019) and one by the Illinois Wesleyan women (2008).
