PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. — The 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Swimming Championships begin Wednesday at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. Augustana enters the four-day meet as the defending team champion on both the men’s and women’s sides after a dual-title sweep in 2025.
The meet follows a four-day format with Wednesday’s opening session set for 7 p.m. From Thursday through Saturday, preliminary sessions are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. A senior recognition ceremony is scheduled for Saturday at 5 p.m.
All-session passes are $50, single-day admission is $20 and one-session admission is $10. For children ages 2-12, admission is $5 per session and children under the age of 2 are free. For all sessions, current CCIW students will receive free admission upon presentation of a CCIW student ID. Fan seating at the RecPlex will be first-come, first-served. Spectators are not permitted to save seats before or between sessions.
The 2026 meet schedule begins Wednesday night with the 800-yard freestyle relays. Thursday’s events include the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley (IM) and 50-yard freestyle, concluding with the 400-yard medley relay. Friday features the 200-yard medley relay, 400-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, and 100-yard backstroke. The meet concludes Saturday with the 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly, and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Men’s psych sheets show Augustana as the top seed in the 800-yard freestyle relay following last year’s meet-record performance, while Wheaton holds the fastest entries in both of Thursday’s relays.
Thursday’s leading individual entries include Augustana senior Mark Addison in the 500-yard freestyle (4:38.67), Augustana’s Tyler Leslie in the 200-yard IM (1:52.83) and Augustana’s Bjorn Sievert atop the 50-yard freestyle. Friday’s top seeds include Augustana in the 200-yard medley relay, Wheaton’s Jed Ritchie in the 400-yard IM and Wheaton’s Benjamin Coley leading the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle, with Leslie also among the top entries in the 200 free.
For Saturday, Wheaton’s Isaac Eilmes enters as the top seed in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:11.25), with additional leading entries from Wheaton’s Jac Cummings (200 back) and Coley (100 free), plus Carthage junior Tyson Politsch (100 breast, 55.76; 200 breast) and Ritchie (200 fly), before Wheaton carries the top seed into the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Women’s entries open with Wheaton as the top seed in the 800-yard freestyle relay on Wednesday. Wheaton also leads the psych sheets for both of Thursday’s relays.
Thursday’s top seeds include Wheaton freshman Allison Henschel in the 500-yard freestyle, while Wheaton junior Tess Boyer leads the 200-yard IM after setting a CCIW open record during the regular season (2:03.72). Friday’s slate includes Wheaton seeded first in the 200-yard medley relay, with Boyer (400 IM, 4:23.23) and Wheaton’s Kara Grace Hess (100 fly, 59.68) also leading their events; Carthage’s Emily Belcik (200 free, 1:55.58) and Jill Kane (100 breast, 1:08.26) top the remaining psych sheets and Wheaton’s Savannah Jeffery holds the fastest entry in the 100 back.
Saturday is paced by Wheaton’s Olivia Wiebe as the top seed in both the 1650 free and 200 back. Wheaton’s Aubrey Swanson leads the 100 free, Boyer carries the top seeds in the 200 breast and 200 fly and Wheaton closes as the top seed in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The 2026 championships are already underway following the diving portion held last weekend in Kenosha, where Carthage senior Taydin Murphy completed a sweep by successfully defending his 1-meter (448.55) and 3-meter (458.75) conference titles and finishing more than 100 points clear of the field on the 3-meter board.
On the women’s side, Wheaton sophomore Lara Stamp also earned a two-event sweep, posting a 361.35 to repeat as 1-meter champion before edging Carthage’s Kendall Leistico by 0.75 points to secure the 3-meter title.
