NAPERVILLE — Millikin appeared at No. 22 in the latest ABCA Division III Baseball Coaches Poll released Tuesday, after entering the national rankings for the first time last week.
The Big Blue, who moved up one spot from No. 23, hold a 15-4 overall record and received 163 points in this week’s poll. Millikin’s recent results include wins over Franklin, Wheaton and Illinois College.
Millikin also continued to receive recognition in the D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 poll, where the Big Blue were listed among others receiving votes with 37 points. Augustana was also mentioned in the ABCA poll’s others receiving votes category with 14 points.
Denison remained No. 1 in the ABCA poll with 25 first-place votes. Lynchburg, Johns Hopkins, Salve Regina and Kean rounded out the top five. In the D3baseball.com poll, Denison also held the top position, followed by Lynchburg, Salve Regina, Johns Hopkins and Kean.
